Dave Strohm, Greylock Partners
Dave Strohm joined Greylock in Boston in 1980; at the time Greylock was one of the longest-established American venture firms, founded in 1965. In 1983, Strohm moved to California and opened the Greylock office in Silicon Valley, which has since become the firm’s largest operating unit.

Over 25 years of venture investing, Dave’s primary areas of focus have been on enterprise technology (especially enterprise software), and electronic design. He has been an early/ founding investor in more than 30 companies. Among these, 10 have become publicly-traded, including Mentor Graphics, Ascend Communications, Legato, Forte Software, Doubleclick, and Internet Security Systems. He has also been an early/founding investor in more than 20 companies which have resulted in successful mergers, including ccMail (Lotus/IBM); Kiva (Netscape/Sun); Octane Software (ePiphany); Net Effect (AskJeeves); Decru (Network Appliance); and Wily (Computer Associates).

Dave also serves on the board of AtHoc, CoWare, Edge Dynamics, EMC Corporation, SuccessFactors, and Tabula. He is a graduate of Dartmouth College and the Harvard Business School.

 

Paul A. Santinelli, North Bridge Venture Partners
Paul Santinelli joined North Bridge Venture Partners in 2006, focusing on investments in the areas of Open Source, software, security, and communications. Previously, he served as director of Red Hat Network and was responsible for product definition, strategy, engineering, product management, marketing, and lifecycle management for the company’s flagship software services offering. Paul also served as the director of global information systems and technology during his tenure at Red Hat.

Prior to Red Hat, Paul was founder and CEO of NOCpulse, Inc., a Silicon Valley software startup focused on delivering the next generation enterprise systems management platform. NOCpulse was acquired by Red Hat in October 2002. While at NOCpulse, Paul was nominated for the Ernst and Young Entrepreneur of the Year Award in 2002. Before founding NOCpulse, Paul was chief technology officer of Global Center and VP of technology for Global Crossing, a telecommunications company that built and operated the world’s first independent global fiber optic network. During the past 12 years, Paul has held various engineering, product management, and marketing positions in companies including Red Hat, IBM, Lotus Development, and Compuware.

Prior to North Bridge, Paul served on the advisory boards of Arrowpoint Communications (acquired by Cisco), Inflow, Kiva Software (acquired by Netscape), Mobility.net (acquired by Software.com) and One Secure (acquired by Netscreen). He received a B.S. from Emerson College in Boston.

 

Dick Williams
A 40 year veteran of the information technology industry, Mr. Williams' career has spanned sales, marketing and senior product, finance, and business management positions at IBM; president and CEO of Digital Research, where he accomplished a complete turn-around and a successful sale of the company to Novell; head of worldwide sales and support for Novell, and General Manager of the Digital Research Systems Group; president and CEO of Illustra Information Technologies; and co-founder and chairman of Quokka Sports, an interactive sports media company which achieved a successful IPO in 1999.

In 2001 Mr. Williams was recruited by the board of Wily Technology to become their President and CEO. Wily is recognized as the market leader for Web Application Management and enjoys a commanding market position. Following the acquisition of Wily by CA in March 2006, Mr. Williams was named senior vice president and general manager of CA's Wily Technology Division with full responsibility for the Wily business.

 

Mike Malloy, President and Chief Executive Officer
Mike has more than 30 years of management experience in software and professional services organizations. He has been with IBM, Deloitte, KPMG, Digital Research and most recently was senior vice president of product development and chief marketing officer with the Wily Technology division of CA. Mike joined Wily in its early stages and directed their marketing, corporate and product strategy, product management and ultimately all of R&D. Wily was acquired by CA in 2006. Mike holds a bachelor's degree from Saint Louis University.

 

Boris Pevzner, Founder
Boris Pevzner co-founded Lontra in 2005 with the vision of becoming the leader in the emerging enterprise service portfolio market. Since then, Boris has advised CIOs and other senior IT executives of Fortune 500 companies on re-aligning IT operations around a service-oriented IT delivery model. Prior to co-founding Lontra, Boris led product management and customer support at MathSoft, Inc., an enterprise software company for managing engineering calculations. Prior to joining MathSoft, Boris contributed to the development and commercialization of advanced distributed network surveillance products for Bell Labs. Boris is a frequent speaker at technology conferences on IT transformation, ITIL, and service-oriented IT delivery. His CIO blog provides thought-leading advice and opinion based on his experiences in developing service-oriented IT delivery concepts and methodologies over the last six years. He holds Bachelor's and Master's degrees in Electrical Engineering and Computer Science from Massachusetts Institute of Technology.
